Independent contractor agreement for second shooters--wedding photo and/or cinematography. This template is California AB 5 complaint as of April 2020. 

While having an independent contractor agreement is one of the factors for determining if the worker is truly and independent contractor, you'll still need to meet most, if not all of the requirements under AB5 and the Borello test. See this article for more.

Among other requirement, here are the minimum factors you should be sure that you second shooter meets in order to use this agreement:
1. Your shooter has their own business (licensed, insured, advertises their own business), 
2. Your shooter provides his/her/their own equipment, 
3. The rate is negotiable and typically a flat fee with options for additional hours,
4. Your shooter is free to provide the same second shooting services to other companies,
5. The second shooter is free from control and direction of the contracting business,
6. The second shooter provides services directly to the contracting business, not the consumer client,
7. The contract with the second shooter is in writing.
